Our central location and excellent transport links by train, bus and boat offer many opportunities for leisure activities.


Above the town you can find the only undestroyed castle on the Middle Rhine, the Marksburg.The Philippsburg Castle at the southern end of the town now houses the European Castles Institute with its historic library.

Premium hiking trails – like Rheinsteig and Rheinburgenweg – and different cycling trails are located close by.

All shops for your daily needs are located within walking distance.

St. Goarshausen

A 30 minute drive through the beautiful Middle Rhine Valley away, you can find the famous Lorelei close to the town of St. Goarshausen.


The northern entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley and located only 10 minutes from Braubach away, you reach Koblenz. Located on both banks of the River Rhine it was founded by the Romans more than 2000 years ago.

Start your trip at the famous German Corner and take the cable car to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

A lot of restaurants, bars and pubs are located in the city center and along the Rhine and offer a wide range of dining options. Well-known champagne producer Deinhard and the local brewery Königsbacher offer guided tours.


The city of Lahnstein – located in walking distance from Braubach – has public indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

If you prefer beach volleyball,  Maximilians Brauwiesen offers several fields next to the Rhine – and they have locally brewed beer.

Castle Lahneck is worth a visit, as well.


Located at the southern entrance to the Middle Rhine Valley is one of Germany’s best-know cities – Rüdesheim. The Niederwalddenkmal offers a fantastic view and the world-famous Drosselgasse is ideal for strolling.
